Which day of the month will my donation be processed?
A: Your monthly gift is normally debited from your account between the 5th and 10th of each month (note: your first monthly donation may be processed on the 23rd of the month). Credit-card transactions that are unsuccessful between the 5th and 10th will be processed again on the 23rd of the month.
Will my donations be tax-deductible?
A: Hong Kong Cancer Fund is an approved charitable institution (IRD ref no. 91/2745). All donations of HK$100 or more are tax deductible in Hong Kong.
When will I receive the donation receipt?
A: An annual receipt would be issued at the end of our fiscal year in April to summarise your entire year of donations.
Can I have receipt name different from name of donor?
A: Yes, you can. Please state clearly on the donation form the name you wish to be printed on the receipt.
How can I update my payment or contact information?
A: You may update your contact details or payment details online, or download a form that you can post or fax to us. Alternatively, simply call our COF hotline at 3667 6332.
Are there bank charges to set up a monthly donation using bank autopay?
A: Some banks may charge a one-off setup fee when you first authorise the direct debit. Please check with your bank.
Will my bank charge me if I don’t have enough funds in my account for the donation to be debited?
A: If your donation is through autopay from a bank account, you will be charged an administration fee by your bank for unsuccessful debits. You should ensure your account has sufficient funds to avoid such a charge.
Can I make a monthly donation through a company bank account?
A: Yes. Please download the form here, fill in your contact,payment details and provide the Business Registration no. in order to set up the direct debit authorisation.
Will I receive regular updates from the Cancer Fund?
A: As a monthly donor, you’ll receive our bi-annual InTouch newsletter, which features inspiring survivors’ stories, updates on the campaigns we are running and other insights, as well as our annual review which shows how your donations help.
Are there any activities for donors?
A: As a member of Circle of Friends, you receive priority in reserving a place at health talks and also invitations to events and dedicated donor gatherings.
Will you share my personal details with third parties?
