With our range of free services and programmes, you’re never alone as you navigate life with cancer. Our professional and dedicated teams help individuals and families manage their emotions, facilitate communication and provide opportunities to enhance both emotional and physical well-being.
We help people cope with all aspects of cancer in the following ways:
Peers serve as role-models who can provide personal encouragement and important information to someone undergoing their own cancer journey. We provide a networking platform for self-help groups and our ‘Friends of CancerFund’ network; where survivors gather to share insights, experiences and participate in activities. We also design age and needs-specific programmes to cater to the specific requirements of those affected by cancer.
Young people, aged 18 to 39, face a range of specific challenges during and after a cancer experience. We offer an array of services and programmes to strengthen their coping skills, provide social networking opportunities with other young survivors and promote a sense of normality and optimism.
Men often feel pressure to ‘look and act strong’ as well as deal with their own problems. We run a series of programmes specifically addressing the needs of men affected by cancer, including our ‘Men's Cancer Care Project’ which provides unique support for prostate cancer.
United in their mission to ensure that no one faces cancer alone, Cancer Fund’s support centres and various other self-help groups formed ‘Friends of CancerFund’ which brings together 21 groups of survivors of different cancers.
