Stop Smoking
The World Health Organization states that tobacco use is the single greatest avoidable risk factor for cancer mortality worldwide, causing lung, stomach, cervix and many more types of cancer. Smokers also risk the lives of those around them through second-hand and third-hand smoke.
Smoking is a major cause of lung cancer, responsible for 80-85% of all lung cancer^. In 2022, more than 5,700 men and women are diagnosed with lung cancer, and more than 3,700 people die from this form of cancer*. One of the most effective ways to reduce your risk of developing cancer is to quit smoking, or never start.
