Our ambassador "Onion Head" appeals to younger audiences, helping to educate them on the importance
Hong Kong Cancer Fund's annual SunSmart campaign kicks off this month as the sun start to shines strongly and we usher in several months of a hot Hong Kong summer.
To help herald the "Slip! Slop! Slap!" message, we've launched a brand new SunSmart website, complete with online games and learning tools targeted at school-aged children and teens, an age-group most susceptible to sun damage.
Being SunSmart is about practicing sun safe behaviours when exposed to the sun and being outdoors. Simple steps like wearing a hat when outdoors, applying sun cream often or covering your skin with long-sleeved clothing are simple steps that help to prevent sunburn and minimize the risk of developing skin cancer, caused by UV radiation from the sun.
