What is the prostate?
The prostate gland is only found in men, and it sits just below the bladder, close to the back passage (rectum). It is about the size and shape of a walnut. The tube that carries urine and sperm out through the penis (the urethra) runs through the middle of it.

What are the symptoms of prostate cancer?
Symptoms of prostate cancer include: difficulty passing urine, passing urine often (especially at night), inability to urinate or weak/interrupted flow, pain when urinating, blood in urine, or frequent pain in the lower back, hips and upper thighs.
