WRONG! Smokers believe that stopping smoking feels like losing a buddy. But remember that what you lose is not your friend, but your deadliest enemy. Free yourself from the bad influence of smoking.

Myth 5 – As I grow old I’ll get sick and die anyway. It has nothing to do with smoking.

WRONG! According to medical research, smoking is a direct cause of many different diseases. Smokers also tend to get oral cancer, lung cancer and nasopharyngeal cancer at a younger age.

Myth 6 – I only smoke ‘light’ cigarettes which don’t cause much harm to the body.

WRONG! You are only cheating yourself and paying more for  so-called ‘low tar’ versions. You may need to smoke more of these and consequently will take in even more poisons.

Myth 7 – Smoking helps me lose weight. Stopping smoking will disrupt my body functions and slow down my metabolism.

This is also fictional. You may have a better appetite once you stop, but this is only because you regain your sense of taste and smell!
