Non-melanoma skin cancer is the one of the most common cancers in Hong Kong. The number of new cases sharply increased over the last decade and since 2015, there have been more than 1,000 new cases each year in Hong Kong*. UVA causes skin to darken and age and UVB causes sunburn. Both result in permanent damage to skin cells and can lead to non-melanoma skin cancer.
