Counselling on smoking cessation is provided by registered nurses through the Smoking Cessation Hotline of the Department of Health. A computerised call-handling system is set up to provide round-the-clock information on smoking cessation and medication in Cantonese, Putonghua and English. Users can assess the extent of their nicotine dependency via the system, and obtain the test results and other useful information by fax.

Users may obtain smoking cessation services from the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals by pressing ‘2’. or from the Hospital Authority by pressing ‘3’.
