Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital Cancer Patient Resource Centre relocation and expansion has been completed, and will be officially opened in March.
Launch our homecare programme, for people who are homebound or physically weak, so that they can receive essential support from our carers upon being discharged from hospital.
Funding a new acupuncture centre in Prince Of Wales Hospital, where patients can explore traditional forms of therapy from registered practitioners in order to alleviate pain and side-effects of treatment.
 

2007

The sixth Cancer Patient Resource Centre was officially opened in March at Princess Margaret Hospital to serve cancer patients in the Kowloon West Cluster.

Bilingual website improved with a more user-friendly interface design and comprehensive information on cancer and services.
Hong Kong Cancer Fund celebrated its 20th Anniversary.

2006

CancerLink Support Centre Wong Tai Sin celebrated its 10th Anniversary.
Co-funded by Hong Kong Cancer Fund and Hong Kong East Cluster of Hospital Authority, the Integrated Palliative Day Care Centre in Tang Shiu Kin Hospital Community Ambulatory Care Centre was officially opened in November.
Launched our first Colorectal Cancer Awareness Campaign, which successfully alerted the public on the importance of regular check ups and early detection.
Queen Elizabeth Hospital Cancer Patient Resource Centre upgrading completed.
Queen Mary Hospital Cancer Patient Resource Centre upgrading completed.

The second community service centre outside the hospital setting, CancerLink Central, was softly in service in March and was officially opened in May.

Prince of Wales Hospital Ambulatory Cancer Care Centre was opened in May.

2005

Bilingual website improved with comprehensive information on cancer and on services.

Funded Queen Elizabeth Hospital's ultrasound screening machine for lymphoedema care.
Funded visual therapy programme for Tuen Mun Hospital's Clinical Pathology Department.
Expanded services to private hospitals throughout Hong Kong, including: Hong Kong Central Hospital, St. Paul's Hospital, Hong Kong Adventist Hospital, Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital and St. Teresa's Hospital.
Launched the Anti-Smoking Campaign and Sunsmart Campaign.

"Stride for a Cure" celebrated its 10th Anniversary, and raised more than HK$2.5 million for major local cancer projects.

CancerLink Wong Tai Sin upgrading completed.

2004

Opened two Cancer Patient Resource Centres in Shanghai.

Volunteer training exchange tour to Shanghai Cancer Recovery Club.
Published the first VCD on CancerLink's services.
Funded the expansion of the Day Chemo Room at Tuen Mun Hospital.

2003

Prince of Wales Cancer Patient's Resource Centre opened.

Shanghai Cancer Recovery Club visit to Hong Kong.
Funded New Voice Club new premise.
CancerLink held a forum titled "Psychosocial Support - practice and future direction" with a number of renowned experts in the fields.
Began to distribute recovery packs to Nasopharyngeal cancer patients.

2002

Partnered with COSH to lobby government on the indoor smoking ban.

Extended our supportive care programmes to private hospitals.
Conducted a donor survey to measure donors' awareness and understanding of HKCF's services.
Began the home care programme by volunteers which assisted home bound patients in their daily routines.

Invited to join the government task force on cancer control.

Began the annual breast cancer awareness campaign.

Funded oncology nurse training in Australia for lymphoedema treatment.
Donated a 7-seater vehicle to Haven of Hope Hospice to enhance their palliative services.
Funded a visual therapy programme at the Tuen Mun Hospital for the Day Chemo Room.

2000

Art Rage Us- a powerful art exhibition by women who have experienced breast cancer was organized.

Began the annual Celebration of Life event to honour survivorship.
Began the annual cervical cancer awareness campaign.
Conducted a needs assessment and programme evaluation for CancerLink.

1999

Visual Therapy project launched at the Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital.

Funded the Gastrointestinal Cancer Registry - a screening programme for colorectal cancers.

1998

Began distribution of Reach to Recovery packs for breast cancer patients who went through surgery.

Bilingual cancer information website launched.

1997

CancerLink, the first community service centre outside the hospital setting, was opened. CancerLink Hotline launched in the same year.

Hospital visit programme started.

The first "Stride for a Cure" successfully raised HK$1.9 million for cancer research.

Began funding the Yin Chun Club Breast Cancer Patient's Group.
Queen Elizabeth Hospital Cancer Patient's Resource Centre opened.

Equipment loan scheme for cancer patients began.

Funded the first free Cervical Screening Clinic at Prince of Wales Hospital.
Began funding the Kin Lok Club Nasopharyngeal Cancer patients support group.

Co-sponsored the first Hong Kong International Cancer Conference.

Began hospital environment improvement programme at Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth and Tuen Mun Hospital.
