It has been almost two years since I first came across the Hong Kong Bone Marrow Transplant Patients' Association. I was undergoing bone marrow transplant at the time, and without knowing much about leukemia and bone marrow transplant, I was sent to the operation. The volunteers from the group has helped me alleviate my fear through sharing their personal experience with me.

Volunteer visits is an important source of encouragement and support for patients. Being survivors themselves, they are able to give suggestions on problems and difficulties with a much warmer touch. I wish to sincerely thank them for being with me during this difficult time which helps to give me the peace I need during treatment.
