I remembered the times when I was recovering from surgery. I felt so helpless as I didn't know anything about caring for myself. Later I came across the Stoma Association and met two very kind members who answered all my queries about stoma care. I also began to participate in their activities where I learnt not only to take care of myself, but also to get to know so many new friends.

The Stoma Association is a big family. As we all have the same problems and experience, we can easily share our feelings and knowledge among each other, solving each other's worries and questions.

As I recovered, I realized that there is nothing for sure in life. Happiness and stability are never guaranteed. We should treasure what we have now, family, friends, health and all. I am glad that I can still handle my daily life with ease, and I wish everyone can live their lives healthily with a big smile everyday.
