I was diagnosed with leukemia on April 24, 1999. Two days after my bone marrow test, the results were confirmed. Although I had expected it, I was still traumatized. Later, the ex-president of the Hong Kong Adult Blood Cancer Group Miss Wong Lok came to me and gave me so much support and shared her experience with me as a survivor. I joined their group eventually and started paying hospital visits to give support to others as a survivor this time, and every time I see smiles back on their faces, I can feel the same joy and satisfaction as those who have helped me before.
