Be SunSmart and have fun in the sun by remembering our simple slogan of "Slip, Slop, Slap"!

As non-melanoma skin cancer has become one of the top ten cancers in Hong Kong, it is important to protect ourselves against harmful UV rays through the use of sunscreen, hats and clothing. This message is applicable to everyone, both adults and children.

The international "Be SunSmart" skin cancer awareness campaign was first introduced to Hong Kong in the summer of 2005. This education campaign has been a success in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, America, Canada and Ireland for a number of years. Leaflets and posters were distributed to all kindergartens and primary schools in Hong Kong, to teach young children the simple and fun slogan "Slip, Slop, Slap", and to educate them about the dangers of the sun.

We also designed a fun and funky mascot TOD, to help illustrate SunSmart behaviour. Our cool turtle wears his T-shirt, sunscreen and hat with pride.
