Cold treatment rooms in the hospital adds to unnecessary anxiety. Therefore in 2000, a pioneer project on "Visual Art in Radiotherapy" was launched in the radiotherapy rooms in Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital and Tuen Mun Hospital. The cancer treatment rooms were transformed with soothing images and warm lighting. It helps patients to alleviate their fear during radiotherapy to improve their response to treatment.
